Great scissors, if they’re made in Finland… As you’ll see on countless reviews of other Fiskars products, they have recently moved production to China for many, many of their products that are sold in the US market and elsewhere. The last time I was in Europe, a few months ago, you could still obtain Finnish made scissors of virtually all types, but it seems the export units that you get here in the States are all from China anymore. If you’re very lucky, you can find these in a brick and mortar with older stock and in that case, you’ll probably find them with a black rather than orange packaging (scissors are still orange handled) and still marked “Made in Finland”. If you can find those, they are absolutely worth it and the quality is top notch, with few rivals, especially in this price range. The original Finland-made units feature Swedish steel and specially ground blades, they used to even say “Proudly made in Finland” on the packaging. I have no idea what stock you get ordering them online, but…
