good, but could be better I have used these scissors only for cutting thread, not fabric or paper, for several months. The openings for the finger and thumb are adequate and feel comfortable for my male, medium-sized hands, unlike most embroidery scissors. I wish the cutting edge of these scissors were about 3/8 inches longer and slightly more curved and the tips more pointed so that I could get closer in to where I want to cut, especially when using an embroidery module on the sewing machine. I don’t always get a clean, unfrayed, cut of the thread, especially near the distal end of the scissors, so, in that respect, these don’t seem to be as sharp as my 8-inch Scotch Titanium scissors. To get a clean cut of thread for threading a needle, I often use the small folding scissors on my reliable Swiss Army knife.

Westcott Titanium Curved Embroidery Scissors The scissors sent to us did not have any curve in them, and are useless for embroidery use. I had wanted them for cutting away appliques, but am unable to do so with these scissors.
